The New 10thPlanetJJ.com

August 27, 2010 by admin

For those of you interested in Eddie Bravo and his 10th Planet JJ system, here’s a major update:

10thplanetjj.com has been upgraded! Tons of new features, awesome new look, and for one month, we are offering Pro Membership for FREE!
Here is what you need to know in order to start using the new website:
Your old account will not be transferred to the new site. You must create a new account from scratch.
Your PayPal subscription will be automatically canceled by the end of this month. Although we can submit the request, there is no guarantee that PayPal will cancel the subscription. You can either cancel your subscription yourself by logging into your account via PayPal, call them ahead of time, or monitor your bank statement to make sure they honor our request.
You will be upgraded to a Pro Membership for free until October 1, 2010. At that time, you will need to pay the standard $4.99 per month to access all our premium features (we’ll tell you about this in a minute).
When you sign up please use your real names not some crazy screen names. Eddie wants to get to know you guys by your real name – not ‘r2d2warrior’.” Spaces are acceptable – so you can register “John Smith”.
The New Site & Features
You can access the new website in its temporary location here: http://test.10thplanetjj.com. Sometime this week, it will move to the 10thplanetjj.com domain. Here are some highlights of the new site::
Technique videos – including Mastering the System now 2x larger
Fully featured forum, including profiles, private messaging, moderation, user ranks, embeddable videos and images, etc.
Website is now about 6x faster.
All subscription issues where certain people that paid for a Pro Membership weren’t able to view the Techniques are now fixed.
Go check out the new site and claim your free Pro membership!

Lack Of Updates

June 14, 2010 by admin

Hey Guys and Gals,

Sorry for the lack of updates. I have been focused a lot on my training and students lately. In fact, one of them may have his first fight coming up this year. As a result, my site has been neglected a bit. Just to give you a few updates with me, I have been taking a yoga course recently, and may be adding that to what I teach in the near future. I love Yoga, and find it helps immensly with proper breathing when you fight.

Also, a lot has been going on in the MMA world. There have been some great fights in the last month or so. Chuck Liddell should officially retire after that last fight. I have a lot of respect for both Pat Barry and Rich Franklin now. I’m really looking forward to the Carwin vs Lesnar fight coming up soon, as well as the UFC Fan Expo which will be in Boston in August.

At the end of the month, I will be in DC for a weekend. If anyone knows of a gym I should check out while I am in town, let me know and I’ll write up a review if I can make time to check it out.

So stay tuned in the coming week for some new updates. Thanks all.

MMA Conditioning Coach Certification Program

MMA Conditioning Coach Certification

Since I am a coach/trainer, I am always looking for new training techniques, drills, etc to pass along to my students in their training. As I was searching for some MMA Drills recently, I found that Frankie Edgar’s MMA Strength and Conditioning coach has recently released a book in coordination with a training program. This is something that both students and instructors can benefit from. For those of you who own a school or personal training business, it’s also a great way to incorporate MMA Conditioning into your current curriculum. I watched a couple of the videos, and they are pretty cool. In fact some popular MMA Fighters such as Brandon Vera appear in the videos. For more info, click the banner or read further as I posted info below.

You can train the next MMA champion, or coach people who want to have the fitness and conditioning of a mixed martial artist!

We will teach you everything you need to operate
a highly profitable MMA conditioning business!
Work with pros or weekend warriors.
Make your fitness, conditioning business
or martial arts school stand above all others.

Your opportunities for success are endless!
This world-class program is designed for you if you are one of the following:

•A current MMA coach who want to enhance your skills and give your students the ultimate edge
•A fitness professional who is ready to make your mark in the industry and offer a high-level workout to your clients
•A traditional martial arts school owner who needs a serious business boost, and now want to add some aspects of MMA
•A fitness or martial arts enthusiast who is thirsty for knowledge and wants the latest training and conditioning strategies
•An MMA fighter who wants to live the ultimate MMA lifestyle – train, coach, fight!
The MMACA does not instruct or certify coaches in specific fighting strategies or styles. Fighting demonstrations are given in videos to show application of a specific training/conditioning technique or theory.

Hacked!!!!

May 10, 2010 by danielson

Well, if any of you tried to visit my website within the last 24 hours or so, you may have noticed that it was temporarily down. This is because it was hacked. A virus was loaded into my server somehow and corrupted my admin area.

Without going into too much boring detail, I will explain to you that I run a WordPress Blog hosted on GoDaddy, which was one of the primary targets of these attackers. I will say that I was ultra disappointed in GoDaddy, for a complete lack of support, passing the buck to WordPress and allowing this attack to happen in the first place. If my site is hosted on their servers, and their servers are attacked, you would think they would take a certain amount of responsibility for it.

What made matters worse, is that I didn’t have a recent backup (Important Note: If you have a website or blog back it up to your local computer regularly), so basically the only way I could fix it was to sift through hundreds of lines of code in order to find the problem and remove it. Hence, that’s why the site was down for 24 hours or so.

I apologize for anyone who tried to visit and came up empty. Some recent posts you may have missed include the last couple UFC 113 videos and some information on the Tapout MMA Fantasy Camp. Check those posts out. I also have some information coming about a few recent events soon.

Oh yeah, I would like to thank the guys at http://sucuri.net/ for providing the malware removal tool. Thanks guys.
